Cuban journalist Abraham Jiménez Enoa is the 2026 recipient of the Percy Qoboza Foreign Journalist of the Year Award.
Enoa discusses the challenges foreign journalists can face when speaking out against their countries’ leaders and how his journey underscores the importance of a free press for all.
Enoa received the award from the National Association of Black Journalists during the Salute to Excellence Awards Gala in Atlanta on Aug. 15, 2026.
